Avitaminosis and scurvy - traditional medicine

 

Fruits and vegetables necessary for beriberi, scurvy, to strengthen the immune system1. Rosehip. Fruit. 1 tablespoon of fruit per 1 cup of boiling water. Boil for 10 minutes in a sealed container. Infuse for at least 12 hours, strain. Take 1/2 - 1 cup 2-3 times a day before meals. To improve the taste, add honey or sugar.

 

2. Lemon. Lemon juice is squeezed into water and drunk with scurvy, rinse your mouth with scurvy. During scurvy, lemon is eaten in slices, lightly sprinkled with sugar. With scurvy, it is very useful to take citrus fruits (oranges, tangerines, grapefruit).

 

3. Bulb onion. During scurvy, it is very useful to eat onions and green onion feathers. It is also very useful to eat victorious onion (ramson), which contains a large amount of ascorbic acid - vitamin C.

 

4. White cabbage, etc. Cabbage varieties. With scurvy, any kind of cabbage is eaten, both fresh and sauerkraut. Salads made from fresh cabbage are especially useful, because they contain a large amount of vitamin C.

 

5. Garlic. Take garlic in all forms with food and separately with bread for scurvy.

 

6. Spruce, pine, fir, cedar, larch. Water decoctions of pine needles are used for oral administration and for rinsing the mouth with scurvy. Jam is made from needles with sugar and they drink tea with it from scurvy. Pour 4 cups of cut winter needles with 3 cups of cooled boiled water, acidify for 3 days in a dark place, strain. Take 1/2 cup 2 times a day, sweetened to taste, as a vitamin infusion.

 

7. Blackcurrant. For scurvy, use black currants. In the spring, cut young sprigs of black currant, finely chop them and boil in water for 7-10 minutes. Drink this decoction like tea.

 

8. Rowan red, fruits. There are red rowan fruits when they are ripe. 1 tablespoon of mountain ash in a glass of boiling water. Boil 10 minutes insist 4 hours. Take 1/2 cup 2-3 times a day with fruits.

 

9. Primrose. Fresh leaves and flowers are used as a salad for beriberi (lack of vitamins C and A in the body). 1 tablespoon small leaves to 1 cup boiling water. Insist wrapped for 30 minutes, strain. Take 1/3 cup 3 times a day.

 

10. Fireweed. Fresh leaves are added to salads as a vitamin remedy. 1 tablespoon of dried leaves per cup of boiling water. Insist wrapped for 1-2 hours, strain. Take 1 tablespoon 3-4 times a day.

 

11. Aspen, buds bark. A pinch (1 heaping tablespoon) of buds or aspen bark per 500 gr. Boiling water. Boil for 10-15 minutes. Insist 3 hours wrapped. Take as a tea, 1 cup 3 times a day, sweetened with honey. Tincture of kidneys on vodka or alcohol. Take 20-40 drops 3 times a day.

 

Vitamin fees

 

Collection 1. Rose hips - 1 part; currant berries, black - 1 part.

Collection 2. Rose hips - 1 part; raspberries - 1 part.

Collection 3. Rose hips - 1 part; cranberries - 1 part.

Collection 4. Rose hips - 3 parts; cranberries - 1 part; nettle leaves - 3 parts. Brew and drink as tea 2-3 times a day.

Collection 5. Rose hips - 1 part; rowan fruits - 1 part.

Collection 6. Nettle leaves - 3 parts; rowan leaves - 7 parts.

 

Fees 5 and 6 are brewed as follows: 1 tablespoon of the mixture in a glass of boiling water. Boil 10 minutes. Insist wrapping 4 hours. Take 1/2 cup 2-3 times a day.
