Еще надавно концепт, а сегодня - уже предсерийный образец.

Фанаты электромобилей в General Motors, похоже, одерживают верх над нефтяным лобби. Во всяком случае компания на полном серьезе готовится к внедрению в жизнь своих электрических моделей. И уже известно, что вторжение возглавит компактный седан Chevrolet Volt и произойдет это в 2010 году.

Электрический вундеркинд от GM оснащен 150-сильным мотором, который питается из литиевых батарей. Их емкости хватит на 60 км - средний ежедневный пробег. Обойдется это владельцу примерно в 40 сантимов. Затем включится генератор на базе двигателя внутреннего сгорания 1,4 л, так что на дороге не застрянете. На полном баке можно пройти под 1000 км. Дешевле всего заряжать Volt из обычной розетки 220 вольт, что займет всего три часа. Скажу больше: по потреблению тока эко-Chevrolet можно сравнить с домашним холодильником. Если проезжать в день 100 км, то за год можно сэкономить не менее 2000 литров бензина!

В погоне за экономичностью и экологичностью Chevrolet не забыл и бытовую составляющую. Интерьер машины - сплошная электроника. LCD-дисплей, Bluetooth и USB для подключения внешних устройств, навигация и мультимедийный комплекс с винчестером. Любопытно, что премьера Volt выпала на 16 сентября. В этот день ровно 100 лет назад была учреждена компания Chevrolet. Что ж, лучшей машины открыть для себя новый век - не придумать...

Это разновидность гибрида, правда не совсем обычного. На двигателе внутреннего сгорания не проедешь, но заряжать АКБ вполне даже можно. Хотя «зеленые» и тут начнут фыркать носом…

On this day exactly 100 years ago, the Chevrolet company was founded. Well, you can't think of a better car to open the new century for yourself...

This is a type of hybrid, although not quite an ordinary one. You can't drive on an internal combustion engine, but you can even charge the battery. Although the "greens" will start snorting their noses here too...
